Family Weekend

October 2-4, 2009

The University Union Board cordially invites you and your family to join us for Family Weekend 2009. This year's theme is "Groovin with Rocky" and we hope you will join us to make special family memories at Western Illinois University!

Join us for a wonderful line-up of events and activities! Friday night begins the weekend with a BCA sponsored performance in Western Hall by Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood of tv's "Whose Line is it Anyway" fame. Rocky will be available at Saturday's President's Picnic and carnival as well as Sunday's Farewell breakfast for casual photo opportunities. Bring the family camera! This year there will be a $5 non-refundable registration fee for all families. T-shirts are available for purchase online featuring the weekend's logo. There will be trivia contests, carnival activities, live music and food!

Registration

The deadline to register online is midnight, September 24, 2009. If you wish to make reservations after that date, please contact the Office of Student Activities at 309-298-3232 or Diane Cumbie at DM-Cumbie@wiu.edu to check availability.

Those who register online and choose to pay by check must have their checks mailed in before September 30, 2009 otherwise reservations will be canceled. Make checks payable to University Union Board. Mail checks and reservation forms to:

Cancellation Policy:

Under certain circumstances, registrants may be allowed to cancel registrations and receive a refund of registration fees. In order to be considered for a refund, you must submit a cancellation request which includes a reason for the cancellation in writing no later than Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Cancellations will not be processed after this deadline. Cancellation requests can be mailed, e-mailed, or faxed to:

Approved refunds will be processed and distributed after Family Weekend. Those receiving refunds will be sent a refund check on or around November 17, 2009. There will be no refunds given for T-shirt orders or football tickets. If you cancel your registration and have ordered T-shirts, your T-shirts can be picked up by your student at the OSA after Family Weekend.
